Our First Baby Turned 4 Years Old! Can't believe how fast kids grow!  Everyone says that, but you never quite understand until you have your own kids (and yeah everyone says that too....cuz it's sooo true). Day 1 Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 and now... HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY  Leila Tauaneai Fuimaono Our little girl is growing up so fast. She's our first born, "second Mom" to Sefa, smarty pants, smart but sassy, funny and clumsy, Chinese looking, pink loving, Frozen obsessed, stylish fob, artistic, loud singing, daughter whom we LOVE to bits.  We decided to have a simple birthday with family and close friend at the Provo Rec center. March Mommy Memoirs

Dang....time flies!!! It's already mid March??? What the heck!? oka oka oka. So let's see...what's been happening?.... Well....to start off my March Mommy memoirs... 1. I've been in a cooking rut for the past month.  Why? Simply because Aljay has decided to change his life (physically) and return to the gym and eat healthy once again.  What does that mean for me? That means I'm going to make whatever he asks me to make and since I'm too lazy to make separate meals for him, our whole family is going to eat healthy.  Yes.. when Aljay's on a healthy kick then we are ALL on one too . It makes it easier for him to reach his health/fitness/supermodel status goals....annd it's just better for everyone also. Isn't there a plus side? Yes.   1. We are all healthier of course.  2. Food starts to taste better. Don't know how to word it. But you start tasting the true flavors of veggies and fruits without salt/sugar ...

These Kids Are Growing too Fast

The other day I was lounging comfortably on the couch when both Leila and Sefa decided that I needed company. Usually when the kids see me sitting down and relaxing, they see it as an invitation to crawl all over me as if I'm a jungle gym. I thought for sure they were going to attack this time, but instead they cuddled up be my sides, nestled into the couch, and drifted into a deep sleep . This behavior was very uncharacteristic of them. But I wasn't going to fight it.  It was beautiful. Besides...there's something magical that happens when they sleep. It's like you forget all the things they did that drove you nuts that day. As I laid there, I gazed upon them lovingly. I doted upon them. I smiled and just felt joy. I reflected on the little silly things they'd done that day and marveled at their growth and development. I'm so grateful for these moments that allow me to reflect and  remind me that children truly are a blessing from our Heavenly Father....
